Michael J. Dattoli

Michael J. Dattoli, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist with well over two decades of brachytherapy experience and has performed thousands of prostate implant procedures. He is considered the foremost pioneer optimizing brachytherapy designs to maximize tumor eradication and minimize symptoms. He is a noted author and speaker in this complex field of medicine. Dr. Dattoli attended the University of California at Berkeley and was the Valedictorian of his class at Vassar College; he earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Radiation Oncology at New York University Medical Center, then distinguished himself at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, as the Special Fellow in Brachytherapy. Dr. Dattoli serves on multiple journal editorial review boards. Government appointments include “The Prostate Cancer Task Force” in Florida and consultant to the “Washington Oncology Roundtable Advisory Committee”. He was selected by the International Association of Oncologists as a Leading Physician of the World and top Brachytherapist.

Joseph M. Kaminski

Joseph M. Kaminski, MD, previously Senior Medical Staff at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health, is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist who is internationally known for his work in accelerating the development of cancer therapeutics including normal tissue radioprotectors/mitigators, imaging techniques, and important interventional devices. He has authored more than 70 publications in peer reviewed journals and has served on multiple journal editorial boards. Dr. Kaminski has also held positions as a Lead Medical Officer at the Food and Drug Administration.  He was also a medical officer at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He graduated with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the nation’s top bioengineering universities, and completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia.

Jeffrey K. Russell

Jeffrey K. Russell has more than thirty years of international business leadership experience with focus on multi-location business revenue generation in the healthcare and government sectors. Specifically, he has expertise developing rapid growth strategies for start-up organizations, expanding global markets and building sustainable success. As a pioneer in global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) management, Mr. Russell has lived and worked in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Throughout the years, Mr. Russell has consulted with or directed customer acquisition and customer retention operations involving Microsoft, Readers Digest, Dunn & Bradstreet, Global Healthcare Communications, Universal Savings Bank, Newsweek, Nokia, DHL, Tiger Direct, the Malaysian Ministry of Education and The Malaysian Federation of Manufacturers. In the U.S., Mr. Russell led multi-location franchisee operations related to direct access medical lab testing. He has also participated in developing next generation technology solutions for wellness clinics and medical spas with specific focus on acoustic wave and shock wave therapy. He also worked with the U.S. Department of Justice building contact center training and operational capabilities inside female federal prisons. As VascuWave’s Acting CEO, Mr. Russell leads the effort to grow the organization and related brands globally. He is a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Orhan H. Suleiman, MS, PhD, FAAPM, FHPS
Scientific Advisor

Orhan H. Suleiman, MS, PhD, FAAPM, FHPS, has expertise encompassing a broad range of scientific and regulatory experience related to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated medical products (drugs, medical devices, and biologics). He retired in November, 2014, from the United States FDA, after 37 years with the federal agency responsible for assuring the safety and efficacy of such products.  At FDA he was the Senior Science Policy Advisor in the Office of New Drugs, where he was involved in many regulatory initiatives involving safety, human subject research, and inspections.  He represented the FDA on a variety of domestic and international committees. He received his BS (1970) and MS (1972) degrees in Radiological Sciences from the University of Florida, and his Ph.D. (1989) from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.  In 1998 he was appointed into FDA’s Senior Biomedical Research Service (SBRS), a select group of federal senior level scientists.  In 1999 he was elected as a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), served as president of the Baltimore Washington Chapter of the Health Physics Society (2006-7), and in 2013 he was also selected as a Fellow in the Health Physics Society.  He is an Emeritus member of these societies as well as the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). He has authored over 50 formal publications in the scientific literature, and presented numerous times domestically and internationally on these topics.

Dr. Jeffrey Mechanick
Scientific Advisor

Dr. Mechanick is Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Marie-Josee and Henry R.Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health at Mount Sinai Heart, and in the Cardiovascular Institute and Division of Cardiology, and Director of Metabolic Support in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his M.D. degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sina. Dr. Mechanick authored over 300 publications in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition Support. Dr. Mechanick co-edited Nutritional Strategies for theDiabetic and Prediabetic Patient, Power of Prevention: The Complete Guide to Lifelong Nutrition, Thyroid Cancer: From Emergent Biotechnology to Clinical Practice Guidelines, Molecular Nutrition.  Dr. Mechanick was appointed as a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (PCFSN) and Science Board for 2010-2013. Dr. Mechanick also chairs the International Transcultural Diabetes Nutrition Algorithm Working Group.

Dr. Stanislav Emelianov is a Joseph M. Pettit Endowed Chair, Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar, and Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also appointed at Emory University School of Medicine where he is Professor of Radiology and is affiliated with Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute and other clinical units. Dr. Emelianov is an internationally recognized expert in biomedical imaging instrumentation and nanoagents for imaging and therapy. He is the author of over 500 publications including peer-reviewed research articles, invited reviews, book chapters, conference proceedings, and patents. In recognition of his contributions to the field, Dr. Emelianov was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. He is past Vice-President for Ultrasonics of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control Society, and senior member of several professional organizations.
